Deposits/Payments/Policies

Refer to the following for information on deposits/retainers, forms of payment accepted, and cancellations/rescheduling and refunds.

DEPOSITS/RETAINERS
A non-refundable deposit/retainer of $150 is required at the time of booking, as well as a signed contract, to reserve the date.  The balance is due no later than seven days prior to the event.

FORMS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED
The forms of payment accepted are cash, checks, and, payments made through Venmo, Square, or Paypal. Note: Processing fees apply when using Square or Paypal.

CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING and REFUNDS
We understand that life doesn't always go according to plan and unexpected situations occur.  That is why we have established the following cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policies.  Note:  Payments are not transferable, not assignable, nor refundable except as explicitly described below.  Any refund shall be paid out at month’s end.

The following provision applies to all refunds listed within this subsection:
  • If client payments are made via Square, Inc. or PayPal, any processing fees charged will not be refunded.

Refund Policy:
  • Cancellations made 15 days or more:  The $150 retainer, paid at the time of booking, is non-refundable.  Unless the event is rescheduled (see Rescheduling, Policy, below) and rebooked with the DJ, cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the event will result in a refund to the client of all monies paid by the client, less the $150 deposit/retainer which is non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made 14 days or less: Due to the short timeframe and difficulty obtaining last minute substitute bookings, cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the booked date, which are not rescheduled in accordance with the Rescheduling Policy, below, will result in the full contracted amount due to be paid to the DJ by the Client.

Rescheduling Policy:
  • Rescheduling 15 days or more: If the Client needs to reschedule the event and provides a notice to the DJ of 15 days or more prior to the event, the $150 non-refundable retainer will transfer to the new date and no new retainer will be required, but only if a new reservation is booked within 30 days of the originally scheduled event. The new date does not have to be held within those 30 days, only the reservation need be made during this time.  Any new date requested by the Client is subject to the DJ’s availability. After 30 days, if no reservation is booked by the Client, the retainer will be forfeited, and a new retainer will be required to reserve the new date.
  • Rescheduling 14 days or less: If the Client needs to reschedule the event and provides notice to the DJ of 14 days or less, the $150 non-refundable retainer will be forfeited, and a new retainer will be required for the new reservation.  However, any monies paid in excess of the $150 retainer will transfer to the new date if the reservation is booked within 30 days of the original event.  The new date does not have to be held within those 30 days, only the reservation need be made during this time.  Any new date requested by the Client is subject to the DJ’s availability. After 30 days, if no reservation is made by the client, the full contracted amount will be due and paid by the client to the DJ.
  • Rescheduling due to inclement weather:  If the Client needs to reschedule the event due to extreme inclement weather, the DJ must be given a minimum of 24 hours advanced notice and concur with the termination.  In this circumstance, the DJ will apply all monies paid, less the $150 non-refundable retainer, toward the new reservation. Any new date requested by the Client is subject to the DJ’s availability.  After 30 days, if no reservation is booked by the client, the full contracted amount will be due and paid by the client to the DJ.
